If this works, its too good to be true. I'm just looking through the details now, but if some others want to look as well it'd help. First, here's the link:

It would seem that you will get a temporary (a few months is being mentioned) account to access technet, this allows you to download MS software for free. You will get working keys, like I said too good to be true. The available software should be:

Says they aint time limited, I think you just can't request more keys after 3 months.

Noticed the key server is crawling, must be getting hammered! There is a tab at the top that takes you to a page with all keys you own, which can be exported to HTML. Worth doing in case they pull this?

i think there's a limit of 10 keys per product or something.. but bear in mind that these are supposed to be for IT professionals "for evaluation only".. the EULA strictly prohibits use in a live/production environment.. now, obviously, this is by-the-by for people using them at home.. but you'd be asking for trouble if, for instance, you got a SQL server licence from here and used it in a corporate environment!

Usually these things are 10 OS/App licenses, and 1 server license each with 10 CALs.

My copy of XP was a tad hooky and I kept getting messages on my desktop saying I may have been a victim of fraud, and they became very annoying. Have signed up for this, installed a fresh, legit copy of XP Pro SP3 and all sorted now!

Bear in mind that, whilst free, these are still illegal for use in anything other than a testing environment. So no installing them at work!

Or are the downloads one's that only work with the technet keys?
