Poundstretchers is back

Just noticed that the PoundStretchers store which not long ago became INSTORE is now back to being called PoundStretchers Extra
So was it never taken over in the first place then?? And if not why bother with a total rename if they were just going to bring the old one back so soon (with the "extra" part tagged on)?

if it's "extra" does that mean everything now costs more than a pound?

maybe they're going down the ryanir route - everything will be marked up at a pound, then you'll pay a sales tax, service tax, a levy depending on how fit your checkout chick is, etc.

in which case, my "jokes" fall at the first hurdle.. damn my misunderstanding of the "poundstretcher" concept!

that would be Poundland!
although saying that, and their slogan being "Everything's a £1" isn't strictly true. They sold pop at 3 for £2, and I believe they are selling selection boxes which are 3 for £4. (tut tut).
I might go in there and insist on paying £3 for 3, as legally speaking they have to do so! (but with wife working there I've just be told NO I can't - humbug!!)
