Where d'ya go for a good ol pub quiz? Are they a dying breed? Not fussed about the prize, just a decent quiz like back in the day at Castle Tavern on a sunday eve ... remember those days Upsetter, when we were resided in Castle Town?

In the three months I've been back I've been to the quizzes at the Tap and Spile on a Monday or the Greyhound on a Tuesday, both good fun.

Would anyone be interested in a good old pup pop quiz, once a month or so? I quite fancy that cos the usual quizzes tend to be quite anorakish.

yeah i'm on for that. until aboout a year ago they used to run a weekly quiz at the mecca that is other wise known as the railway inn. there were no prizes, most of the questions were only possible to answer if you cheated or were over 50, but they gave us free sarnies and chips etc. winner. unfortunately we never won once, despite going for weeks and weeks. good clean fun.

So hows about I volunteer to host a one-off pub quiz - free entry - chips and sarnies thrown in by the landlord - as a PR exercise for the forum - we go to all the papers with it as a news story, fill the pub with loadsafolks and get lots of people joining the forum. Does it sound like a winner?

It is. Although there's some odd chicken theme going on as well. I think Dave's still recovering from the shrooms he took in the 'Dam.
