I did think that, but they had a fixed date to close and went beyond it. They are currently used as a stock dumping ground for other stores, but lots of others went 50% off briefly then closed but ours is stuck at 30% and they just keep going.

I would assume they are on a fixed term lease, so had a fixed time to leave?

I don't remember the last time I brought anything offline, the Internet is the future..

Shame really. I remember going into Woolworths and you could go into a little booth rather like a phone box, stick some massive headphones on your head, choose an LP and listen to the tracks, then if you liked it you would buy it.

Unlike now, where you buy something online because you think you like the musician, or you read a review, then it comes through the post and you realise that actually it's a bit rubbish and you only like one track. So total waste of money.

Sometimes progress is a backward step.

Which is why, people want to try out the tracks without paying for them to ensure it isn't a waste of money - so download them illegally instead.

I suppose the closest thing is now animation, the illusion of movement through quickly changing imagery. Once CGI crept in actual filming was doomed really :(

Spouting nonsense since the day I learned to talk
I've always avoided calling films 'movies', but, of course, they aren't really 'films' any more. So, I may have to compromise with 'flicks'.
They are films to me and I think they always will be. Movies is just too American to me.

Anyway it's called "Film 4" for a reason :)

Mr. M's amour for First Aid Kit is well documented.

I would hasten to add that there are others - i loved Blunderbuss and Let England Shake and In Rainbows and etc etc...
