Rogue Charity Collectors

Really?

I have no problem with them being watched, no problem with them being investigated, no problem with them being questioned and challenged. I will accept that, looking at the history they deserve all the above. The use of the word "Soldiers" should raise a red flag as it implies they are still serving. Ifthey are dodgy they are particularly poor at it as both Stoke addresses are easily found and could easily be targeted.

It's the witch hunt and cyber threats I am uncomfortable with. If he is in the wrong he needs prosecuting, not beaten up.

I've just read this thread through again, am I missing something? I don't see any reference to them being beaten up.

Sorry, I should have made it clear, that comment was based on the Facebook responses
Ah, fair enough - that was why I didn't put a link to it on here

On a different subject, I have just reported a post on there for inciting genocide, but have been informed that that does not violate their community standards...

Sure your points are fair comment Really. I was just trying to warn everyone to be careful whom they donate to on the Street. Yes they did say first off they were a Charity, then it was a Non Profit making enterprise. The fact that they are giving the impression that they are a Wounded, Homeless Injured Servicemens Charity infuriated me on a personal level. No witch hunt, I just care. Thanks everyone for your input, will now put an end to my crusade.

It's really sad that spivs and crooks have jumped on the charity bandwagon, or at least, they see it as a charity bandwagon. Curiously their tactics seem to have worked.
A) many people now don't trust charities, and in all fairness, who can blame them ?
B) I recently got slagged off for wearing a metal poppy pin (Merchant Navy) instead of a 'proper' poppy.

But the fact is there's a lot of false poppy sellers out there (machine gun them I say, but I'm probably a bit of extreme on that one) and when I pointed out I'm a member of the British Legion, and yes I wear the same poppy pin each year (all year actually) but I donate directly to their fund each year without fail, so for whatever it's worth, I do a bit.

False charity spivs take advantage of the best of people's feelings, and should be punished and policed accordingly.

(Probably not by me I'll admit.)
