roof aerial

howdy, does anyone know how much approx it is to have a roof ariel fitted these days, just want to watch my tele with freeview box but need different ariel apparantly??

Around £90 - £120 fitted. If they advise a more expensive one the chances are you don't need it! Also, stating the obvious but I assume you've already tried your existing aerial. If not then you should do so before wasting money

Sometimes all you need is an Ariel booster box - around £10.00 that plugs into the back of the tv...

Apart from a few areas in the lee of hills, Stafford's fairly good for TV signal strength. It could well be worth experimenting as suggested above. 70% of the aerials that I can see from here are 'old-style'...

We paid £95 to have ours put up when freeview first came out, as the existing old aerial wouldn't work. Since they switched off analogue and raised the broadcast signal level of digital, even the old aerial works now.

I'm using one of the old 625 Line aerials tuned to the Sutton Coalfield mast the aerial is 30 yrs old works a dream
