Today marks fifty years since we woke up to the news of the great man's death the previous night.
The Fifteenth of February 1969 was a Saturday, and I woke up to the World Service news bulletin, probably the same one that alerted Kenneth Williams, as he was on a cruise off Morocco, I think.
112 years since the great man's birth.
