Royal Mail taking the pith?

Hi Fellow Staffordians,

Im getting sick and tired of royal fail.
we have 2 parcels that are not even being delivered (no attempts at all)
one was posted on the 8th and one on the 9th march.

Standard parcels service used.

I know for a fact RM are just storing parcels in the 2nd outside lockup as i got to the bottom of it
a while back when a £70 1st class recorded did'nt arrive.
it arrived eventually after 10 working days! mon-fri (or 2 weeks 14 days Total)

is anybody else having this god damn problem too in the stafford area?
its a waste of time trying to call the newport road depot as they ignore it or turn the ringer off
and pointless going down as ill be told "we cant find it, just wait another day or two"

Im on highfields if that helps narrow it down anymore?

Andy.

There's a thread here already. Lots of other people have had trouble with their delivery too...

That thread is old and the main content is about christmas, this clearly is not xmas problem, this is another problem all together, hence the new thread.

Im wanting to know if anybody is having this issue with parcels just now.
Thanks.

On a few occasions lately we've had a 'we tried to deliver...' shoved through the door with no actual attempt to deliver being made, but when chased they have actually had the item. What's the point in not trying?

Dunno, twice I've watched a city link driver sit outside my house for 5 minutes writing 'you were out' cards and then tried to put one through my door. I collared him both times, once he had the item but couldn't be bothered to look for it I guess (he had to root around a bit in the van), the other he said the item wasn't even on his van but if he didn't put a card in it flagged as a failed delivery. Which it was, obviously!

It's like a joke round by us, we get post maybe 2 or 3 days of the week, most of the time it's nothing for 3 days then a big pile lands on the doorstep, half the time they dont even bother pulling into our lane, and when you're trying to run a business..................

One postie has been coming down our drive and then disappearing , and I've been assuming that I've just missed seeing him walking back up. After about 5 mins he suddenly appears walking back up the drive again smoking his ciggie that he has just lit up.

Then, one day the other week,I came back from shopping and saw him walk down our drive ,go down the side of our house and use the neighbours back garden as a loo. Obviously been using that as a stop off point each day. Watched him up again the next day and he made a special journey down the drive to use his pit-stop,even though he didn't have any post to deliver to either of our houses.
This has carried on daily until our neighbour put signs up on his wheelie bin saying 'Postie,Don't P1$$ here! ' .

I can understand them getting caught short once or twice, but to make a special journey down, when they haven't even got any post for us............
