    Stafford Road Club (Cycling)

This year will see a major change for Stafford Road Club (Cycling), as of the 1st of February be based at, and ride from, Perkins Social Club.

For many years SRC have met and run events from Stafford Rugby Club but with their move to a new ground increased hire costs, and facilities that do not fully meet SRC needs, the committee have made the decision to move to Perkins, which offers the club better facilities and at a price that fits SRC's small annual budget. After discussion with Perkins and confirmation from their company this week that they are happy for Stafford Road Club to adopt Perkins Social Club as their new base.

The one thing that could not have been foreseen in the scenarios of what was envisaged before this tragedy was unleashed upon us, was the noise pollution.

    This tragedy is loud.

It is difficult to try and put this kind of impact into any kind of pre-emptory context because it will ipso facto only become obvious after the fact.

It assaults from so far away that it is an affront way before one even approaches it.

Don't believe for too long that this is over, Tim.

So, he announces on here that he will be helpfully answering questions for us plebs, then can't or won't. Evades more questions, then bleats about being treated badly. Then tells us he's too busy. You'd think a chairman would be able to explain things like the double planning application and million (ono) quid financing for one of the few sports that the council said had adequate facilities.

We can probably assume that the lights have been turned down.

Stafford Road Club should apply to put a new HQ somewhere else more suitable. Half way up Weston Bank, maybe?
