One advantage with all weather pitches .....
We (Birmingham Uni's American Football team) were due to play at Bath University tomorrow. Last week, their game against Swansea was described as a mud-bath and I suspect tomorrow's game had it gone ahead in Bath would have been the same or worse. Anyway, it sounds like their groundsman has declared the pitch unplayable (they're usually a bit precious about their pitches this time of year), so the game's been moved to our 3-G pitch in Edgbaston ..... saving me around 2 hours driving and back. We'd better win - we didn't in November, our 'home' game.
