I was wondering that (and whether the lights were still in use in the evening).Almost certainly a dumb question, but is the rug club in operation?
It's a time to pull together and it's great to see organisations such as yours rising to the occasion. The rugby club is closed for the foreseeable future. We made that decision on Monday. Our members are working with the House of Bread food bank making deliveries.
We have approached the local residents association to see if we can help in any way - we have a wide membership so we can assist with food deliveries, prescription pick ups and domestic jobs for anyone in need.
We may not be in the location people wanted, we have been round this a hundred times but mark my words we will step up in this unprecedented time.
We are after all, a community facility and we have started to help in any way we can.
It’s stay well, stay positive, stay well time

"think skinned"? I like it. I'll be looking for an excuse to use that one.Criticism.....I’m pretty think skinned, so I don’t lose sleep over it!
I note they had the new floodlights frying Doxey marshes again last week.
So you're saying the floodlights weren't on, beaming over the marshes? Still, it's comforting to know that the fire at the old place was nothing to do with you.
No, what I am saying is that we are well within our rights to have them on (What’s the point in having them otherwise?) and they comply with all planning and environmental stipulations. We upgraded, at our our expense, to LED lights - one of the reasons for that is that LED lights reduce light spill. They don’t ‘beam out over the marshes’.
Are you saying that I can stand anywhere on the SSIS and no illumination from the floodlights will reach me?No, what I am saying is that we are well within our rights to have them on (What’s the point in having them otherwise?) and they comply with all planning and environmental stipulations.
