samsung Galaxy S3 slow

Hi gadget mates,

My S3 has been a great phone but is bloated with crap after 2 years of use. I have cleaned off the pics but need to clean it up to make it run reasonable speed again and for the battery to last somewhat longer. I now always go out with a spare charged battery in case.

I have thought that a factory re set. May do the business and prior to this back up to samsung kies beforehand.

Any help form anyone on this would be grateful as need the phone to be useable not super fast etc..

Thanks....

You've done well to get 2 years. I've had my current Android phone 7 months and recently had to do my second factory reset already. It's one of those things just like Windows needs a reload every now and then to keep a computer useable. Sort of "housekeeping"

I installed cyanogenmod on my S3 and it lasted a lot longer, actually that reminds me I need to put the original OS back before I sell it!

Definitely back things up then do a factory reset. Too years is a hell of a long time for it to have lasted without needing one.
