Have you been to Attingham?I have the boy booked in for 2 weeks at BeeActive at Beaconside - I figure after a week away with us, then a week up North seeing Granny he may actually want to spend time with people his own age.
I do feel we've done a lot of stuff locally, and his enthusiasm (and mine) for 'let's just go for a walk' has waned a little over 18months of lockdowns - so I'm always on the look out for suggestions.
Especially if there's a playpark of some description.
I try and keep track of where we've been on 'the boy's' twitter account #ParkRating
Carisington Water had a great park, as did Walsall Arboretum, Telford and Tamworth Castle.
for reference the boy is 6 and play parks are everything...

I know the summer finished and I'm late for this announcement, but I was searching the same thing for my kids. Of course, the kids differ a lot by age, activity preference, and so on. I think San Jose is a great destination for you to go with your kids.
