security tool

this program called security tool has just loaded itself onto my pc, what is it and how do i get rid of it? I have a feeling its a spy-ware type thingy

This is not good news.

I don't know the ins and outs but it happened to a work computer a while back and required technical jiggery pokery to get rid.

Hopefully someone with a greater understanding can advise at some stage.

Try downloading malwarebytes anti-malware and running a scan. It is very effective at removing unwanted nasties.

Many thanks for all your replies, i have spoken to wmr and he is going to sort it for me tomorrow, i really havent got a clue where to start, i did try and down load some sort of doctor but the damn thing went all blue screened on me and went off.
