Shoes or lack of

Seem to have a bit of a grounding problem though. My tendency to get a static shock when getting out of my car has increased.
Those of us who 'worked' at Switchgear will remember the Green Room - a couple of acres of one-piece epoxy resin flooring. The amount of charge that you could build up without regularly grounding on the metalwork was quite fearsome. Interestingly, some people seemed much more susceptible to charging up than others were.

There's two very good shoe shops at Trentham. Pavers stocks some lovely men's and women's shoes (their ladies evening shoes are gorgeous), and Shuropody has a good selection of practical shoes and trainers, as well as some lovely sandals in the sale atm (pair I got were reduced from £60 to £15). They're also really helpful if you've any foot issues and have a fancy machine for diagnosing (which they'll do for free). And they have a podiatry service.

I use amazon, free delivery and free returns for the pairs I don't keep. I just keep an eye out when they have offers on, if one pair dies chances are I already have the replacement in the cupboard!

Merrells are my go to brand lately, for both shoes and trainers, although the shoes are possibly a little on the casual side.

Don't know about the new one, but used to swear by Next's shoes; still wearing may of them, many moons on! (Tight arris! Ed ) The venerable Mrs Seed got my last pair of boots from Next and they are brilliant!
