Sky as an Internet provider

I’m thinking of having sky internet. I have sky tv. I’ve always had virgin internet until a few months ago so am used to cable and not many interruptions to service (although I do realise there were recent problems).
I have sky tv. I will not change to virgin tv - mum has a Virgin tv box. It is not as good as sky tv box.
From my limited knowledge sky internet uses the phone line.
I live in Weeping Cross. Can anyone who uses sky internet let me know their thoughts on it please. Anyone in Weeping Cross who has it?
Many thanks

What I’m trying to say lol is that I’m not interested in a package with virgin with tv telephone and internet. I’d just like to know peoples experience of broadband via phone in Weeping Cross, preferably experience with sky broadband. Thanks.

Even though virgin do take the piss with their prices a little, I don't think you'll get as fast a service with sky personally.

Depends what your usage is, if it's browsing the internet, Facebook , emails and a few low spec videos, a basic service would do.
If you're streaming a lot of hd content , or TV programmes through YouTube / sky / Netflix etc, or gaming, or even several devices connected, you'd need fiber.

Which speed package did you have, and which were you thinking of getting ?

Sky and co are capped at 76Mbps or there about without much leeway, they literally cannot compare to Virgin here

And Stafford isn’t remotely close to getting OpenReach FTTP so that won’t change for some time either
