Sometimes they can just look like something they're not - this one - http://www.legalandgeneral.com/ - always looks to me like it's for Legoland General - some sort of tiny plastic hospital?

The bouncers on the door were rather friendly chaps. Only one sly "please make use of the cloak room" regarding the longish coat but I would have died from heat with it on anyway, I'll assume that's what they meant! ;)

I have to say for the most part, a rather good night. Could have done with opening just after payday than just before, but maybe that was just me! Of course the things that stand out are the negatives;

That emo lookin kid on the upstairs bar (with the lower lip piercing) needs to be taught how to favour girls at the bar.
I get it, if there is a dude at the bar and a very nice looking woman and you don't know which to serve first you pick the latter of the two.
If me and my friends have been waiting half an hour and you have been clocking us every 5 minutes then serving the next nice looking girl who has just pulled up to the bar within the last minute, not so good...
Maybe he just had terrible memory? Shouldn't be behind an extremely busy bar if so, put him on toilet cleaning duty.

The smoking area. Had a bit of a gander to see what people were raving about. First of all why the heck were there strips of fake grass everywhere at odd angles, saw at least 6 people trip during a 5 minute break, one of whom was me! :(
LIGHTS!!! Why were there little to no lighting in that area?! At least put some dull ones in! Especially when combined with the neckbreaker grass all over the shop!
It also kinda felt like a smokey battery farm, but can't really change the building's structure.

I feel after that I must repeat that it was a very good night. There's no way I'm paying £5 for the privilege of walking through a door into sweat city in Stafford on a regular basis, but I'll be back! :)

Couture you've contradicted yourself.... you've said in one part of this thread that tattoos on men must be covered with a shirt or whatever it was, and now you've said "just not on the face, neck and hands".

You REALLY need to sort out this dress code malarcy and fast. I'm not a tattoo'd fella but I look around me and they are EVERYWHERE. Please remember although you choose who to "accept" through your doors, you also need the Staffordians to choose Couture for their night out. A small error now could cost you're business as much as 50% of it's profits forever.

Again, just trying to be constructive like everyone else.

@ Tekmonkey - I agree about the email address mate. I often see www.someidiotsgardeningservice.com with an email of idiot@acompletelydifferentdomain.com and I never understand why. My business is REALLY small but it still has an info@myowndomain.com to keep the proffessional touch.

Definitely agreeing with the lousy @aol.com address too. T'aint that hard to set up a mail server (or be lazy and use Google hosted apps like me)!

If you buy your domains from the right place in the first instance, you get proper mailboxes with webmail or pop 3 / imap access included (like me)
The first thing that "@aol.com" says to me is... This might not even really be them! If it's @theirowndomain.com you KNOW you're speaking to the right people.

Well they have web hosting, surely they got an email addy with it?
You'd be amazed how many don't include it, or if they do it sometimes only gives you mail forwarding to another address, so you can't send outbound emails in a professional manner.

Like I said above, OK so my provider may charge a few pence more per year, but you get what any business should expect to get. (incase anyone wonders I use www.daily.co.uk for all my domains)

An aol address always instills me with confidence in a venture, especially if it has a number in it.

I think I've heard enough about this place on here and from talking to a couple of people, I'm never going in there. Since I'm under 25 I won't be able to listen to some half decent music as young people clearly only like shitty chart and dance music... That's if I actually get in as I don't have a passport, driving license or anything with a PASS logo on and I don't tend to dress like a prostitute.
