@hop I just want to apologise to you because I just read back and prapps you weren't actually bragging. The trouble with me is that I am quite outspoken and sometimes my kids want to gag me when I tell someone exactly what I think about them. I also was friends with someone who became very rich and him and his wife changed overnight. We would visit them in their expensive home and he would show me his rolex and ask me how much do you think this is worth eh? I remember when he used drive an old beat up ford fiesta and now he was driving a new Aston Martin so I just had to put him down with a quick reply lol So I said how much do you think my watch is worth? £35 from argos ;) Quite honestly they turned into a pair of obnoxious people and their children became even worse with credit cards and top of the range phones etc. I think if I became rich I wouldn't tell anyone because I would wonder if they were genuine friends with me for me or friends with me for my money if you know what I mean. Anyway my rich friends are no longer friends with me and my other half because we had a big falling out over the company we ran together and there is now bad blood between us.

As you can see I suffer with insomnia so I am now going to drink some hot chocolate and watch the rest of Star Wars.

I'm generally fairly badly dressed and couldn't care less if someone chooses to make a judgement based on that, more fool them I say.
If someone were to meet me for the first time they would have no idea of my disposable income and this is the way I like it. Often price gouging occurs if someone feels you have more money. I have seen it time and time again. Best to let your adversary underestimate you and then you get the last laugh.

Most of my friends are the same. When Jon got divorced he left his Jag at home and went to see all his dates in his 15 year old car which was used mainly for getting about with his dogs. He took his dates to modest local places and got to know them first and only after a year or so did he begin to show them he might have a few quid in reserves.

Some women are attracted to men with money not me, I go for the person not what car he drives etc. When I met my other half he turned up to pick me up for a date in a beat up purple car who someone had hand painted. I must admit my heart sank not because of the old car but because of the bloody colour.

This evening I haven't seen one of the cats since yesterday morning. He has disappeared before but never for this long. Right now I'm frustrated and just wish I knew where he was or if he was OK. The stupid bugger has got into delivery vans and cars before, but has never vanished for 2 days.
In a situation such as this everyone is in the same boat. Politicians may play with words but in some circumstances life truely is a level playing field. I just want to see his fat little face again and wouldn't even object to being woken up in the small hours of the morning.
