very sad he felt the need to end his life indeed.

It's always very sad when someone feels the need to take their own life. The whys and wherefores are always very complicated and not always as obvious as they seem on the surface.

My sympathies also go out to Miss Empsall's family and friends. I had a number of dealings with Miss Empsall and I always found her to be a warm and friendly individual. I was aware that she died, however I was not aware of the circumstances.
