Hi everyone, was shocked to find that Stafford does not have it's own linked in group. I have set up a new one with the hope it will help local businesses network and thrive in the current economy. It's still very early stages (just set up today) so bear with me. Please go along, join up and feel free to thrown in any suggestions.

Search groups in linked in for "Stafford Business" or PM me your linked in email address.

For those of us who don't really know what LinkedIn is, can you give a bit of background, who would use it, what it is used for, that sort of thing? I'm sure you will get a far better response so.

If it's something that Stafford Forum should be involved with, then we would definitely like to know!

Ok great, so LinkedIn has been dubbed Facebook for the business world. It allows you to create a profile and connect to other people and businesses. There is also a fantastic section called groups, where you can join groups applicable to you (same industry or location usually) and network with members of that group.

The idea of the Stafford Business group is to create a group of local businesses that can network and help each other out. If you already have a LinkedIn profile, simply log in, choose "Groups Directory" under groups in the top bar a.d search for "Stafford Business".

If you know others who own businesses, please pass the information on as the more members we have, the more effective the group will be.
