Might take a wander up once I've woken after my night shift.
There may be a mk3 Cortina with the keys left in the ignition!

Googling 'garda cortina' gets you loads of hotels in northern Italy and this nice Mk 4.

Ooh, I shall let my brother know, he has just painstakingly and lovingly restored an MGB.

    Oh, God....

NO! He has a Toyota Crown - apart from being a similar colour and having four wheels, there is little else to compare.

The Mk3 Cortina is much more classier than that Toyota could ever be!

    Took a wonder up there,

    Some stunning examples.

Most unusual was a Ford Anglia with a 2.0 DOHC Vauxhall engine.

Some more stuff from the show.

A Citroen DS, driven by a very French-sounding chap - who turned out to be Bulgarian...

    An Austin A35 van.

An Austin Healey - just to my right, a woman was patiently explaining the details of this vehicle to her two dogs....

A Lanchester Leda - well, a Daimler, really....

Two views of a Morris J2 ambulance - possibly my nearest of near-death-experiences was in a minibus version of the J2...

A lovely Bedford Three-Tonner - I was sitting in a café in Cyprus when a tipper version, laden with sand, started to overtake a local copper on a bicycle - the rear prop-shaft broke at the front, dug into the road and jacked the back up in the air - the sand flowed over the cab and washed the copper and his bike into the ditch. Great hilarity ensued - until we realised the driver was still buried in the cab, but he eventually released unharmed.
