Really???? Oh boy was not hard at all, my 8 year old nephew managed to find times for Solo lol. Come on folk first world problems are kids can handle
Where's @MyCult when you need him?Actually, that's really patronising.
It doesn't come up under google searches for Stafford Cinema or Stafford Cinema Times on the first page.
On cinema times websites it is still showing the Curzon...
There's an Odeon just round the corner from Birmingham New Street - probably the easiest cinema to get to without a car for major films or the Film theater at Staffs uni in Stoke-on-trent on College Rd for art house stuff. The Lighthouse in Wolverhampton does a good mix of things too and is eady to get to from the train.
If your 101ing it up to Hanley there's a vue cinema in the latest addon to The Potteries shopping center.
Thought such a building would be listed ?
That's a good site !! My Dad used to tell me that the old Labour Club on Eastgate St (before the new one was built on the back, now Kenny's Bar) was listed. This is the first time I've confirmed that. As a kid I'd sit in there with my bottle of Vimto and packet of crisps (with that blue salty one !!) in a room that might have been around when Elizabeth the First was the boss blocker.
Would it survive against Odeon?
Probably not no. It's too damn nice in there and much better quality than anything they'd manage in the ancient place. I've been to the Odeon twice now and don't think I can ever go to a non-Luxe cinema ever again.
Bulldoze and turf. Greenspaces in the town.
Druggies, drunks and homeless might enjoy the space ?.....
