I know we have the poll in the other thread, but who people say they're going to vote for and who they actually vote for are often different. Thought it would be interesting to see if we could predict the result and if it differs from the other poll.

Admin Edit: Please note, this poll is anonymous, so no-one (not even me) will know how you vote.

This thread was started earlier tonight and, for legal reasons, not opened until now, when the polling stations have closed.

It will be interesting to see just how representative of the nation the members of Stafford Forum really are.

correct me if I'm wrong, but sharing your vote in this manner is perfectly legal. There's no legal considerations with this thread, right? wrong?

It's unlikely that anybody would end up with the potential £5,000 fine and/or six month's imprisonment, but this is what the law says..

Representation of the People Act 2002 - It is a criminal offence 'to publish, before a poll is closed, any statement about the way in which voters have voted in that election, where this statement is, or might reasonably be taken to be, based on information given by voters after they voted.'

It is a criminal offence to start an exit poll (or show the results) before the voting has finished.

Punishable by a £5000 fine or 6 months in prison.

Talking to a local candidate (not from the two main parties) earlier this evening, their information suggests the Conservatives will retain Stafford (MP wise) by around 7 percentage points.
