Good luck @Frontal Hope you have a good run .So jealous as I can't run anymore with my old cranky knees (through racing too much in my Stafford Harriers days) but will be out there cheering you all on !

Sorry to hijack your thread Frontal, but a friend at work has a place in the half marathon going if anyone wants it?
PM me and I can put you in touch with her.

Yes, I know it says 2016 in the thread title, but are any of you lot doing this year's? @Frontal ?

I won't be. I've never really done running unless it was chasing a football or an opponent that's got past me, but young master Mikinton will be taking part.

I hope the weather's OK, though I understand the mini-beast from the east may be making an appearance.

Nah, I've more or less quit running nowadays, I ran the last full Stoke Marathon before they switched it to a relay and changed the course to be easier - that was brutal and left me with several long standing injuries that flare up whenever I try to get back into endurance running.
Switched to power lifting nowadays, so I still get the exercise buzz without the stress on my feet.

I will however be down at the end of my street clapping them along as always, near to the beer stop ;)

My brother is doing it as a London Marathon warm up. I think he's the only one in the family who has any interest in running at all.

Postponed...
Thanks for that - I've informed junior. I don't think it's a problem for us - in fact it may make things easier as there's something else on on Sunday that I was hoping to get away to. I just hope it's still on.

ETA Shame for your brother, @Lucy - He'll have to do his London Marathon warm-up on his own.

Yep, he's had a bit of a rant on the Facebook post informing of the postponement.
