I've been playing hockey for Stafford Ladies Hockey Club on and off for over 20 years! Stafford is a great friendly club who run 5 teams playing in the Staffordshire league.
The new season is just about to start and this year the club is looking for new players of all abilities and ages to join. Whether you're an experienced player, a player returning to the game after a break or you want to give hockey a try for the first time, I'm sure you'll have fun at Stafford Ladies.
As well as regular league matches on a Saturday, Stafford also compete in a number of England Hockey cup competitions that cater for all age groups. These include; Investec Women’s Vase, Mixed Trophy and Plate, Investec Women’s Masters over 35’s trophy, Women’s Masters over 45 Cup and Trophy and the girls Championships.
Training sessions start tomorrow (Wednesday 3rd September) at Beaconside Sports Complex on the astro pitch. Junior training will be between 7pm and 8pm and senior training between 8pm and 10pm.
Due to various circumstances this year we are in need of goalkeepers for a number of the teams. Why not come along to training and give it a go.
