Do you mean the one in the old lighting shop?
Yeah, that's the one. Think it opened yesterday?
The Mayor cut the ribbon - https://www.facebook.com/whitehouse.foods.cannock/ - not the Real @Mayor of Stafford, obviously.
It's called: Whithouse Foods and the sign outside says: "Fresh, Frozen and Catering" but the
only things I could see in there which was fresh were eggs.
Went in after my hospital visit, they were busy replenishing the shelves. Looks like a butchers out back possibly? A woman asked if there was any turkey mince, and they said if she didn't mind waiting a few minutes they'd package some up. Saw quite a few things in there that looked interesting, but as my lip is rather sore I can't imagine I'll be ripping into a steak any time soon! Open 8-8 every weekday, handy for on my way home.
I haven't been in but it seems like a larger version for the freezer centre/butchers that used to be behind the Esso on Lammascote Road ?
Whitehouse Christmas foods.
May be connected to Whitehouses wholesale butchers in Bridgetown and Hednesford. We get a fair bit from there. I like the cheapo sausages which is unusual for me.
Given the postcodes in the advert id say you were right...
I'd give it three months. You can buy cheap sausages from LIDL next door.
They have a few shops already so must be doing something right, and after a look round yesterday I'd certainly visit if it was bbq weather.
The Bridgetown shop caters well for barbecues in season.
What happens the other 51 weeks of the year?
Enough that they're expanding?
do they take credit card?
Ruddy hell there's some miserable folk out there....
