Stafford Music Festival - May 2016

Picked up a leaflet aboout this while waiting at the station earlier this week, looks decent. A particular coup is the Grimethorpe Colliery Band at the Gatehouse on the 21st, one of my favourites. For those not in the know, Grimethorpe did the soundtrack to the film 'Brassed Off'.

The Swan is having a beer festival and bands in a marque on Friday 20th and Saturday 21st May and the Stafford Cheese and Ale Festival is being held in Market Square on the same dates

Stafford Gin Jamboree

I noticed "Jambalaya supper is served from the hugest pan you’ve ever seen, with a good hunk of focaccia" but why not corn bread ?

Hopefully Andouille Sausage !

Grimethorpe Colliery band last night at the gatehouse were amazing!! Happily it was pretty much full, maybe even sold out. I was the youngest there by about 30 years which was good for my morale .

As an aside, the conductor regaled us with tales of his Stafford parking woes! Regular car park/driving moaners on here would have like him!!!
