Today's game is SOLD OUT who'd a thought it......
Yes there was further advice. Drinking outside had been part of the match routine but this was halted and, like you say, social club service with table orders was enforced and the fans bar was closed for today. Would think that will continue on Tuesday.
Personally find it a bit sad that such measures have to be taken on local figures if you consider "North East Stafford has seen a rise" but of those 53 cases 50 were prisoners and 3 were guards!!
The relevance is? Just the post code, i would think!!
Better safe than sorry, surely?
Also what is the relevance between drinking outside in the open air at a football ground versus sitting down in an enclosed environment with many more people who may be infected?
It makes as much sense as closing pubs at 22.00 which brings drinking circles closer together. Totally bonkers!!
I think you can guess from my tone that I'm as puzzled as you. While I am not actually a fan of drinking at football games I think letting people disperse with their drinks would have helped with distancing while letting clubs raise funds. I'd like to hear a full explanation so i can get some clarity. .
When we went to the Ashton match the fans bar under the stand was well managed with people waiting outside to be served.
Everyone was social distancing during the game apart from when leaving having to wait for the players to leave the pitch so that the exit could be opened. This was easily be avoided by just waiting a bit further away and nothing to do with selling beer outside though.

Well done our brave boys !.......
What a night!
Beating Hereford (from a division above) 3-1 in the FA Cup leaving us one game away from the first round. Draw this Thursday to see if we can get another home draw, meaning we can play in front of a crowd. Drawing a team way, from a higher level, currently means behind closed doors.
I'm hoping for an easy home tie - obviously. It would be fantastic if we got to the 1st round proper.
I'm still recovering from Tuesday night. A great game.
