With government guidelines stating most non essential shops / services / venues can reopen from June 15th i thought it would be handy to have a list of those shops etc , revised opening times , restrictions.

post below with any details :)

    Are car boot sales essential?

Unless you're buying the car boot in Durham and want to test the boot out on a run out to Barnard Castle, of course.

But street markets are allowed as of Monday, so I'd assume CBS would be as well.

Maybe not a 'shop' and I don't know where it would be on the spectrum of essentialness, But...

FMS say - We are happy to say that as of 1st June we will be fully open , We have taken the guided measures to keep our customers and staff safe . We do have a busy first half to the week so we are taking bookings from Wednesday 3rd June .

That'll cheer up a few people.

Matalan at Queens was open today and some of the other shops appeared to be preparing to open. (Boots, B&M & Pets at Home have been open all the time.)

Has Boots been open all lockdown? I got free delivery this week as it said on their website they were closed except pharmacy/prescriptions, so no click & collect so doing deliveries free ( over £30)

The couple of times I’ve been in town during lockdown the town branch has been open. Only been in once,2 weeks ago & all departments were open as usual. I’d think the Queens branch would be the same.

Wondering whether my dentist will be in touch to rebook my June appointment that they cancelled a couple of weeks ago (I was rather relieved as , being a big scaredy baby when it comes to dentist visits ,was dreading going...)

The Queens branch of Boots has been open throughout lockdown. Limits on the number of people in the store for ordinary shopping and on the queue in the store for prescriptions.

Had a walk past 'The Bod ' on Bodmin Ave tonight. Open since yesterday for take-aways... Can take your own containers to be filled as well.
