It's not the answer for everything - I mean, someone has to buy new for there to be new clothes in the 'eco system' and clothes don't last forever, even quality ones.

I think accepting you have a certain style and going with it take a bit of time to bed in as a person so it's fine to experiment with looks, which you might not want to spend a fortune on. As discussed elsewhere in this thread some places are reliable for sizes and certain things (I'm a fan of Primark or Asda pajamas for instance).

What I really miss in Stafford is a decent dress agency - we used to have a few of them. (Pretty wrap dresses are very much a weakness of mine)

For some years my principal tailor has been Sue Ryder of Saville Row. (Except it isn't in Saville Row.)

I know my size, however even when buying from a shop I don't always get the right fit. When spending a decent amount of money on clothes I want to try them on to see how well they fit and how I look in them.

I rarely go shopping so I'm probably still living in the dark ages but that's my preference. No issue with buying other stuff online.

All signage at the Pizza Hut has gone... I'm expecting that property to be empty for some time....

Meanwhile, there must be something they could do with the Guildhall 'shopping centre'? Re-opening the toilets might make it look like the owner cared (and generate some footfall)!
