As for the Guildhall, if the council are saying the carparks had it, the whole complex will be tore down and rebuilt. Which is probably a good thing , they can drastically redesign the site.

I hope the price we paid for the site reflected this, but I highly doubt it!

Correct. The plan was always to quickly spin them up then close again after Christmas and refurb

Well there wasn't that much in that store, seemed to be mostly food items whenever I've been in.

Just to clarify after having a lovely chat with Poundland (ex Wilco's, Chell rd) staff today....the store is closing, no refurb, it only ever had a 6mnth lease... Such a shame some lovely staff there, a 'few' are going to Queensville, but there aren't enough jobs for all the Chell rd staff....

I wonder what will become of the unit then. I feel like it could be a good facility for something leisure-based - parking, all on one floor, decent amount of space, etc
