In which case get y'all asses down to The Old Frankie and Bennys unit at the Hough retail park.

Soon to be transformed into a car dealers with a coffee shop.

This has to be the best mix since the sad demise of Darts and Crafts.

Update........................Plans for cars and coffee have been shelved. The Old Frankie and Bennys is back on the market after extensive refurbishment??

Disappointed beyond belief is an understatement, I was looking forward to buying a skinny latte with a Nissan Micra on the side.

Any way, if you fancy it, have a look down the back of the sofa for £750k and ring Millar Sandy.

Noticed that the *land on the corner of Eccleshall Rd/Bristol Street roundabout (@Gramaisc to enter real roundabout name here) is back up for sale after being leveled...

*I know there's a thread for it somewhere, but can't remember where

Dawkes had bought it and as much as I was aware they had plans for it aswell. Unless that plot of land is different to the old job centre.

Dawkes have decided not to build business units on the site. I think the buyers of the job centre might like this site as well to do a larger project.

Its is interesting that developers for sites such as this as well as the Chetwynd Centre have decided not to build and just to put them back on the market.

Maybe a storm is coming.

Has the job centre been sold then ?

I noticed work has started in the old connexions office block though, think it's to be turned to flats, again I suggest levelling it and starting again, looks like it'll need loads of work to transform it into apartments anyway.

I hope they do demolish it, it's extremely ugly.

Is the Chetwynd Center back on the market?

Yep, it can all be yours for just 2.25 million (with planning consent)

Planning consent has now been obtained for residential conversion with some new build on part of the rear external area and with an element of leisure also permitted to cover the use of the former assembly hall, which does not, by its nature, immediately lend itself for alteration to provide living accommodation.

I've always thought that building would make a good school, or sixth form centre.

There was no official word about Dawkes wanting to build anything ( bar the infamous Stafford rumour mill).

They didn't have any planning consent for any kind of build, so it is very unlikely any such venture was beyond much of a thought
