Any business with "fulfilment" or "solutions" in its name should be avoided like the plague.
Yeah but aren't you basically Amish when it comes to the 21st century? Didn't you once say that you only use coins minted pre 1900, you don't trust the internet as its not run on steam and anyone that uses a card is in league with Satan himself?

You are exaggerating somewhat, but I shall the rest of the day trying to think of something good that's been introduced this century.

Yes, I noticed that in the Newsletter.
"The existing building is contrary to the Eastgate Street scene" claim the applicant. I always thought that was the Telephone Exchange.
The truth is that the existing building doesn't make loads of money but several flats would.

For once this looks like a reasonable in town development. Building upwards with low-rise in town centres is one way to provide housing whilst minimising the impact on green-belt people are so protective of. The building it’ll replace is pretty charmless and there would still be a commercial unit attached.

I’d support this one.

As should most franchise models

A franchise is paying for a name people know/trust and unique product/expertise, if you don’t get either of those it’s just paying someone a massive amount of money upfront plus constant revenue share so you can use a name nobody cares about.

See: Geek Retreat, I still think they would have been better off going at it alone and giving the franchise startup cost to a graphic designer to fill the only hole that Geek Retreat filled.

Ha ha, but fair's fair. With regard to 'fulfillment' and 'solutions' he does have a point.

Tbf if I can just take an item in and they’ll pack, label and send it that does appeal - time is money and we don’t send enough goods out to keep a stock of packaging materials, so if the price is right…

Yes, it's only a matter of time before some trendy new bar is "a fulfilment centre".
