think ive been to this..is it near the wolsley arms?
Sure is...right next to the garden centre. I've contacted the organiser already so will report back when i have more info.

There's also a strong possibility of a performance in Stafford Library and Market Square in May as part of Stafford Music Festival! I'll let everyone know when i have confirmation...

I am getting unconfirmed reports to say that we are in Stafford's own top quality weekly.

Hehe.....good article though...even if there are mistakes! Firstly Tom not Tim, secondly he wasn't born in Stafford, and thirdly the Joxer's footage wasn't filmed by JasperFilms! Ah well...good stuff regardless

(I just noticed that at this precise moment Rich is every bit as cuffy as I am skill. Just what does this mean? Would we cancel each other out if we met?)

Only three mistakes in an article, pretty good by Newsletter standards! Did you hear about them referring to the Macbel End of Marston Road Ground as the Mick Bell End! Of course, we just call it the Bell End now!

PLAYED at Marston Road, Yesterday! Last Tune before the players came out! Can't imagine who'd badgered the DJ!

Unfortunately I was outside so cannot report on singing along, I sang along from outside!

I was in the large queue into the ground, shouldn't have had that last pint! 1800 there. We lost but stayed up! ....

Thank God

BBC and Sofa himself were outside in the queue during this glorious event, as well.. i'd be interested to know who got this played over the PA system.. it wasn't either of them - they were as surprised as everyone else!

As anyone who really knows me will tell, you modesty is not my strongpoint, ...

Twas I wot dun it! nagged Gaz the Rangers music man, and he downloaded it, before playing it. Here his his post from Stafford forum.

"Had to cut it short due to the teams inconsiderately running out.

Could do with a non-acoustic version. Sounds like a song that needs air guitar to go with the sing-along chorus."

Any chance Sofa? ;)

Kelly (SRFC on here) wrote

"Heard it came on the tannoy i think at the start it was only me singing who new all the words, but a few joined in on the chorus!!"

Next year it will be the whole lot of them!

I wrote

"Thanks Gaz for playing it, meant alot to a few people."

Oh my goodness! I was in the queue at the time, just a few minutes late... My jaw hit the ground when I heard it playing! Many, many thanks to Gaz and I hope to meet you all in person on 26th May at the staffordforum.com Garden Party.

The breaking news on the fully rocked up version is that a studio has been booked for May 10th... Weeeah!

Well done (again) Sofa for yet more Stafford Song coverage. Your first football match for ten years and they play one of your own songs! Get in
