Sorry If this is a useless post but I saw a sign on the Isobel trail regarding a bike ride from staff to stone with transport back for ppls and bikes.

Its on the 20th of June and starts at back2bikes.

I'm sorry I dont have more info but it was persisiting down and I was getting damp....

too much information, but bike riding doesn't do it for me..... ;)

On a serious note, I'd get as far as the A34 from here and be hospitalised for exhaustion. lol :D

How far is Stone?

If you fancy a fairly gentle ride, I can highly recommend taking the Isobel trail in the opposite direction. You have to briefly leave the trail at Castletown and head over the bridge next to the Railway, then stick to the right and you get back onto a nice flat trail all the way to Derrington. Or Gnosall if you're feeling a bit more energetic.

I like to do the isobel end to end for a short run ( which to be honest is all I'm up to, Shoes took me out one day and I was shattered)

And WMR I was damp from the rain you dirty minded person lol

I wont be attempting this myself but know we have some more serious cyclists on teh forum and thought they might like a headsup

EDIT: To clarify Shoes took me out for a bicycle ride...just realised it sounded a bit off.

Last time Shoes took me out I ended up bloody and bruised on cannock chase, he should have a health warning!
