I believe the Air Ambulance has just left (flew over the Crossings heading north back to Stoke I presume)

Yes. I didnt leave the carpark till 2.30, the ambulances & fire engines had left by then, but the air ambulance was still behind the Asda./Matalan shops. Road looks like it will stay closed as the car is still there on its side & the police still have the rd taped off.
Its knock-on has seemed to cause traffic chaos everywhere else - it took me 1/2 hr to get home.

Hope the occupant/s are ok. :( Such a shocking thing to see.

Does anyone know what’s happened on the Bridgeford to Woodseaves road?

I’m stuck, wondering if I should attempt a u-turn.

Further to above...bad smash on that road, almost opposite Jasmine Road. It looked as though the road will be closed for some time.

You can get round it by going via Seighford and the airfield.

Accident, slow traffic.
Slow traffic due to accident on B5405 Newport Road both ways at A5013 Eccleshall Road. Despite recent reports, callers have reported the accident is still there and sensors are showing delays along Newport Road.. AA Traffic News

An improved traffic light! The Asda exit now seems to sometimes let both lanes exit at once rather than left then right.

Do you reckon J13 northbound should be clear (ish) by the time son drives back home to see us around 2am?

Any updates gratefully received ....

Getting off northbound at J13 looks 'normal' now...

..you just have to watch how things back up.

There are various crashes/fires about, but you just have to contend with that sort of thing. By 2am, things calm down a bit, usually.

The traffic by the new build down Beaconside is still causing chaos I see.

At what point do they realise that having it back up traffic like that is going to cause more bad PR than good? People are going to think “I don’t want this every time I want to get home from work!”

Both the Highways and Taylor Wimpey do realise it and have done for many months.

They just don't care about it - that has been made amply plain to me.

They will both still be paid anyway - why should they bother about the public?
