Lichfield Road going past Queens has looked very busy and slow moving at various times over the past few days.

Possibly. Eccleshall Rd is actually open at the moment just not Northbound from Greyfriars. I recommend cutting through via Alliance St
That's the route I took to get Mrs T a milk shake from Maccy D's yesterday.
Didn't even know it was there until last week then use it twice in a week. Funny old world.

Got on the M6 at 13 going southbound an hour ago and northbound was at standstill . Might want to check if you are considering that journey

Did I imagine the post about someone moving cones on the closed bridge? Having a conversation about the idiocy that descends on some people when an engine is running and thought it served as quite an illustration.

Alliance Street as a cut-through is pointless as traffic was queueing from Redhill all the way to the Lloyd's roundabout this morning travelling into town, now that the A34 Northbound is closed. So I recommend cutting down Redhill, First Avenue, Holmcroft Road and then onto the A5013 Eccleshall Road. None of these roads have advisory yellow signs advising 'No Through Route Except Residents and kyoto49' so you can drive guilt free around these back streets swerving around children and elderly people blocking the route.

There is a lot of broken glass in the centre of the mini roundabout by the station.

It looks like quite large shards so don't drive near the white circle if you can avoid it.
