A solid line of stationary cars from the GEC roundabout all along Riverway to the Weston rd lights at 11.30am,
God knows what it will be like this evening at knock off time.
It was like that yesterday when I walked past as well, with traffic queuing all the way around the retail park and back to Queensville bridge. With queues also tailing back down the Cannock Rd from the lights by BMW garage... Thinking I may have to go through Acton Trussell lanes (which I hate...held up ages with a herd of cows passing once, with each one sticking their nose against the car window as they sauntered past. The scariest thing ever as I'm petrified of them) and down the A449 to get to the station on time on Friday :hmm:

A car actually stopped on the green lights by the Island pub in saturday. They hadn't just changed to green either, they had been on green for some time. It was only with the cars behind blasting their horns that they eventually went, resulting in only 2 more cars behind getting through before they changed.
I'm probably angrier than the average joe, but I have had to stop myself from punting people through green/amber lights, or onto completely clear roundabouts more than once before. If I was in my own car I think I probably would have done, thankfully being in the company car makes me a little less dangerous :p

I really don't get why certain kinds of men get angry at other drivers .... when I drove into Stafford town centre on Saturday I followed someone in a white BMW who clearly didn't know where they were going so kept slowing down and indicating etc. suddenly the driver behind me started sounding his horn which was pointless because the driver ahead didn't know which way to go. I was tempted to stop my car and tell them to stop being a knob but he was a white van driver so I decided against it.

It int just men that get angry at other drivers. I sit and shout my head off at knob heads in town. How half of them have passed their tests, beats me. The worst are the women, sat in their 4x4s, thinking they're the dogs doodahs.

I introduced @Andreas Rex to the Lichfield Road traffic scenario tonight - he may still be recovering....

We were supposed to be going to Carpet Right, but I turned into The Hough on the the misunderstanding that SCS was Carpet Right, which it isn't - obviously (well, now it is obvious..)

Even to get that far at 6:15 was a bit of an undertaking. It was clear that we weren't ever going to get to the 'real' Carpet Right before he had to be back home, so we had a chat with someone who had a good knowledge of the dire effects all this is having on the trade in the units at The Hough. We also saw the antics that an ambulance has to perform in order to attend to some poor bugger in the middle of all this.

Utter bloody madness.

A lot of these women can't even park their 4x4s and use them for the school run which can cause problems outside certain schools (I don't drive one btw).

We should all go and demonstrate outside the council offices about this. Whoever scheduled these roadworks needs to be held accountable for making Stafford a gridlock.

Noticed the roadworks closing the inbound Lichfield Road ( going past the convent part) are down to Western Power . What are they doing on that bit, is it to do with the new building where Greenhall used to stand ?

Wasn't having a go at you love, I'm not that nasty. Yeah, school times is the worst. Luckily I'm normally on my way home at 3pm, so miss half of them.
And, don't get me started on the 2 lanes going up to Sainsburys, that needs be taken back down to 1 asap.

An ambulance with lights and sirens was stuck in the gridlocked traffic yesterday , all due to people coming towards town sitting blocking the entrance to the BMW place and several people going outbound wanting to turn into it. Nothing was moving anywhere fast as the cars waiting to turn in were big things positioned so that nothing could squeeze past!

Go out, round and back in again.

From Wildwood/Weeping Cross, go to Walton/Milford, Tixall, the Crem, Blackheath Lane, Weston Road.

Are the roadworks still at Stockton Lane ?
Saw roadwork signs in the distance on Cannock Road tonight , signs were heading out of Stafford near to Overhill road but didn't walk that way to look where these roadworks were.
