Where have the roadworks gone from Lichfield Rd (The Hough)? None yesterday or today....have they finished, or just stopped for the weekend?

That bit supposed to have finished on Friday. The 'White line marker' van was waiting there on friday afternoon,so assuming they finished later Friday afternoon.

I notice we now have "roadworks" for no apparent reason in Weston Road, just in from the Pennycrofts lights - no blokes, no equipment, no vehicles, no real obstruction, other than the cones, barriers and lights themselves, as far as I could see.

Noticed those causing big queues back down Lammascote Rd this morning as I came from Corporation Street.

The situation by Aldi is bloody ridiculous . Took hubby to work via Baswich lane, but forgot coming back and mistakenly came back Lichfield Rd way (but carried on as thinking 8am the outward bound traffic wouldn't be as bad ....big big mistake!). Just took me 35 minutes from top of Queensville bridge to Wildwood . Silkmore lane and retail park traffic has got priority when the traffic moves , so the Lichfield Rd traffic just wasn't moving.

Trying to work out how to get to the station and back at lunchtime now . Might be quicker to take them straight back to Worcester from the station !

Reference Queensway reduction to one lane - the Highways Authority, in their wisdom, have now allowed additional road works at the A449 end of Silkmore Lane! For those unfamiliar with our road structure, Silkmore Lane runs between the A34 (Queensway) to A449 and is another route into Stafford town. Those of us living in Baswich/Weeping Cross area are now virtually marooned, if not by ongoing road works then by motorists desperately trying to find another way into Stafford!

My family will be arranging food parcels dropped by helicopter if things don't improve soon.

Oh, and just to add insult to injury, BT 'phone lines have been down for at least 6 weeks in Baswich area!

Got to get son back to uni for later this afternoon.( Didn't have to get him back til wednesday originally, but his lecturer emailed him just before he left on friday and wants him to do something extra by tonight , hence the panic stations. First train he can catch with his ticket gets in 12.35pm )

Thinking Wolverhampton Rd/Acton Trusell lanes (which I hate, but ....) back from the station . Then through Cannock to get on the M6 after they have had a quick bite to eat. (Or put the dinner on plates , straight onto motorway from station and let them eat it on the way :D)

Are there still temporary lights on Wolverhampton Rd and those on Tixall Rd/ St Thomas lane?

There were roadworks in Acton Trusell last time I went through, not sure if they are still in place, Diversion in place and road was closed.
