Been off for a couple of days, sadly back in tonight :'(
The blokes working on Chell Road, rocked up yesterday about 8, they were packing away at just after 3.30ish. I say ish, cos I didn't have my phone on me to check the time. It's no wonder the bloody thing doesn't show any signs of being finished yet. Wonder if they're working alongside the Pets at Home lot?

first time back in the office for 3 weeks, due to the A34 closure, and I can't believe that the Pets @ Home roadworks are STILL going on. Can't see any difference in the last month.
Jeff and Erik have been on holiday

Everyone else is working on another job

Abysmal planning. How many times has that "roadworks start here until" sign after Yarlet Bank been changed. I'm sure it's said "Spring 2023", "Autumn 2023", "Winter 2023" and now "Spring 2024". Awful. Sure someone said on this thread they were planning on finishing in a few weeks - this was back in September probably. How long does it take to lay a pavement - a pavement that probably noone will walk down?

If a job is worth doing, it's worth doing well.

Taken this afternoon heading towards Wolverhampton Road....

What's bizarre is there was another sign on the pavement just past the Drs mentioning the road being closed in April for a week....

What an absolute shitshow the traffic was this morning. All around Staffordshire. Roadworks all over the place, not just Stafford. The partial closure of the Redhill roundabout is very unusual. Traffic southbound cannot turn right to go towards the M6 and instead are forced to continue towards Stafford. The other day, they were all making U-turns in the gap in the road opposite Redhill road. Strangely enough, that gap has now been closed and the traffic is making U-turns at the traffic lights further down. The official diversion is go travel to the McDonalds roundabout and then turn right down Eccleshall road. But quite a few others especially heavy goods vehicles were turning right into Holmcroft Road this morning, where children are crossing the road. Alliance Street is also a possibility but that is further away. This is going to go on till Spring 2025!! More queueing and weird manoeuvres by traffic and the road being worn down till next year.

Have also noticed so many drivers blatantly ignoring red traffic lights over the past week or so. Driving through up to 3-5 seconds after they've turned to red.

Probably sick and tired of all the hold-ups.

It’s a Stafford thing

Not a new thing

It’s a fuckindangerous thing

I’m always slow to pull away from lights when I’m in Stafford. You have to compensate for cretins
