Staffordshire Enjoy Art is inviting local artists to sign-up for membership for the 2012/13 season. Supported by Destination Staffordshire, this growing creative programme offers professional or semi-professional artists or craftsmen living and/or working in the County a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of their work.

Membership includes a full page personal profile on the dedicated Staffordshire Enjoy Art website, which is linked to the central tourism site, plus a single column entry in the printed brochure which is distributed through Tourist Information Centres, museums, galleries and other places of interest. There are also feature opportunities in Destination Staffordshire’s ‘Out & About’ newspaper and Visitor Guide.

Members will also gain exposure through dedicated Facebook and Twitter pages, promoting their work and raising awareness of exhibitions and events to wider audiences.

All members are given the opportunity to participate in the popular Staffordshire Open Studios weekends taking place on 15/16 and 22/23 September 2012. These weekends allow members the chance to showcase work to art lovers and the general public. A special Open Studios Preview Exhibition will be hosted at Barewall in Burslem between 18 and 31 August 2012 with a Private Viewing on Friday 17 August.

New for 2012, we are working in partnership with the Shire Hall Gallery in Stafford and will have a permanent display in the Balcony Coffee Bar. Members of Staffordshire Enjoy Art will be eligible for discounted entry into the annual ‘Staffordshire Open Art’ competition, an important event in the Gallery’s calendar.

Annual membership for Staffordshire Enjoy Art starts from just £115 + vat, but this year there is also the option of an enhanced entry in the brochure. Upgrade to a double column listing for £160 + vat, or a three column listing (full page) for just £195 + vat.

To sign up for membership please complete our online application form: http://www.staffordshireenjoyart.com/artists_apply_now.asp before Friday 30 March 2012.

Hi Chris. The Arts Festival is a separate programme, but we are intending to work together in some capacity this year. I have a meeting with the Arts Festival organisers next week so hope to have more definite answers. Will keep you posted.

Staffordshire Enjoy Art is now working in partnership with the Stafford Arts Festival and will be in attendance in the Market Square on Saturday 15 September 2012. We will be promoting the many members of Enjoy Art and encouraging the public to visit those who are participating in Staffordshire Open Studios on 15/16 and 22/23 September.

The historic County town of Stafford is home to many events held throughout the year. The Stafford Arts Festival is organised by Stafford Town Centre Partnership, a not-for-profit organisation, whose aim is to ensure we have a vibrant town centre.

The festival takes place on Saturday 15 September 2012 in various venues and locations, both indoor and outdoor, around the town centre. There will be musicians, dancers, artists, performers, authors and poets in attendance, with the main performance area being in Market Square.

This event will add life and vibrancy to Stafford town centre and be fun and accessible for local people and visitors to enjoy! Last year's event looked like this: http://stafford-towncentre.co.uk/18/photo-gallery.htm#pg
