The newspaper makes a great litter tray lining, apart from that I don't care for the weekly freebie much.

It's all too Wolverhampton news bumf based for me.

mrs. @db loves local news, and buys the newsletter religiously, but even she is becoming disillusioned with it of late..

perhaps they should approach the forum (or vice versa) to see if there's some way they can work together, to give the people of stafford the local news that they want through a variety of channels!

if i wasn't so chronically lazy, i would suggest it to... erm... someone..

Mmmm - we might not know what Marwood's on about, but at least he spells it properly (most of the time).

As low as my opinion is of the Newsletter, I do like the idea of local news - but, the Newsletter's motto seems to be "Oh, it'll do" - just a little more care and effort would see the potential buyers feeling a bit less contemptuously treated.

For the record, I was mistaking the free Express & Star (I get forced through my letterbox/in my face) with the Staffordshire Newsletter.

9.12.15 Page 2 Piece says:- "Work is due to start on creating a gym at the Guildhall in Stafford."!!!!!!!!!!
Perhaps someone should tell the bloke I was talking to in the unit, advertising the new facility, and attempting to drum up members, he's a LIAR! Told me over a week ago that he'd visited the site upstairs, lots of stuff had been installed, and they were getting on well with the transformation that should be completed, and open to customers by early Jan' :ohno:

He could of course been filling me with Bull'!

The Newsletter article that you refer to says that the gym will open in January....so why is the man that you spoke to a liar?

I think I am misunderstanding your post.

Sorry, what I meant was, that the work to develop the gym had started at least A WEEK BEFORE the Newsletter article that announced "Work is due to start on creating a gym at the Guildhall in Stafford." So that rather tardy announcement was the cause of my consternation!

Stafford Newsletter at their best this week.

They seem to think the High House and Starbucks is in Eastgate Street.

Oh well.
