Just read this online and whilst the idea is good, did we actually vote for this assistant? or is it like the youth commissioner that resigned recently and just a case of jobs for the boys or girls? or another quango in the making with inflated salaries and expense accounts on the tax payers shilling?

Having looked into it a bit deeper I see that Ms Arnold has the appropriate qualifications for the post.

Approx 11.5 percent of the electorate voted and he got just over 50% of the vote (out of two choices). So his mandate is around 6% of the population.

Lowest turnout of the country, still proud.
