Staffordshire Villages near Lichfield.

Does anyone know of any pretty villages with the following criteria?

At least one shop, at least one pub, a village hall or community centre, an active community with things going on.

Ideally around the Lichfield area. We know some people who are relocating and house hunting around the area. They are looking for a village where they can get actively involved and make new friends. They don’t want to be anywhere that doesn’t have facilities.

They have only just started looking and so far have ruled out Whittington and Fradley. (They said Fradley was just a massive housing estate).
Barton under Needwood is a possibility but perhaps a little too far from Lichfield, and probably too big anyway.
Kings Bromley they might like and will be exploring at some point.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Yes, I think they looked at Shenstone and quite liked it, although house prices are quite expensive.
It’s that type of village that they are looking for, facilities, a few shops, a few pubs but not too large.

They also had a quick stop off at Alrewas and will be going back to explore more at some point.

Whenever I have driven through Whittington has always looked nice.

Kings Bromley and Abbotts Bromley depending on how you define surrounding area. Whittington too but already mentioned.
