Wanted STAIR CARPET STAPLE GUN AND MAN TO GO WITH IT

I have been trying to replace one step of stair carpet, it’s the last stair and when I looked on u tube how to do it looked easy BUT only if you have a staple gun and I don’t have one.

So are there any forum users that have a carpet staple gun for me to borrow or even come and fit it for me – I’m willing to pay reasonable price. Thanks.

God these modern ways, in my day it was a Stanley knife, 1 inch round head nails and a pin hammer!
It should still be possible with them.
Thankfully I gave up carpet fitting 35 years ago.

I recently had carpet fitted and the guy used an aerosol glue rather than a staple gun!

Would that be an easier option?

Also it would be a terrible shame if you purchased a carpet staple gun - used it - and then it broke and you had to return it....

yes i could glue , but it is the last step of the stairs and i just wanted it to be safe and stapling it looked more secure.
