Stand Up Comedy Venues in Stafford

Hi all!

Does anyone know of venues around Stafford that do stand up comedy that might be able to give me a chance to perform? I've contacted the MET and Juice via their websites but struggling to see any more. I've done a bit of stand up in the past and I've been doing some again after a while out of it for work charity events but now I'm looking to see if I can get into it on a fairly regular basis.

Any suggestions you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.

Can not help you with your search, :( but am sure the good folks of the Forum will come up with suggestions, who knows may even sort you out with a gig. :) Know its ya second post, but as a fellow 'Boro fan, BIG welcome to the madhouse!

The Pie & Ale House also do a comedy night from time to time, but i'm similarly struggling to think of any more.

Thank you! I'll drop them a line too - I performed there a couple of times when it was The Surgery! I've only started putting the feelers out tonight after weeks of putting it off so I'm crossing everything!

Juice posted something on here not long ago saying they'd love some local people to chance their arm at stand up...maybe pop into Joxer's and speak to Rob the barman (part of Juice)...I'm certain he'd be happy to give you a turn.

I was going to suggest Juice Comedy too - they are always open to new performers and the crowds in Joxers are a lovely bunch. IT's know on the circuit as one of the most welcoming venues in the area.

as Andreas said, go and chat to Rob at the bar in Joxers.

Alot of home game's, and some away; and now I am working 9-5, monday to friday, with some local derbies coming up away, I am hoping to up my attendance rate, might even invest in a season ticket!:banana:

Make sure you let folk's know if you get a gig, I feel a :pint: coing on!

(For god's sake don't ask him why, he has changed from shifts at the firestation, he only just seems to have shut up about his 'supposed' injury/accident!! :xd: Ed)

Quick update - I've spoken to Rob at Joxer Brady's, he's going to come back to me with a slot for when I can get down there and perform, likely August I think.

Nervous but excited at the same time - time to hone the material!
