Right, it is closed now and looks set to be a long job. I've just come up Beaconside from Weston Road to Common Road, through the temporary lights in the RAF/Sandon Road area, and I would suggest that if you feel the urge to use Beaconside at peak times then a packed lunch and a good book might be useful to have in the vehicle..
The Sandon Road/Beaconside junction is open again now. I'm sure the signs were still there at the Lotus junction last night. I only suspected the re-opening when I saw a military vehicle proceding into town just now..

Marston Road is being re-surfaced between Rowley Street and Peel Terrace - It's a bit chaotic, as you might imagine..

Ideal opportunity to replace metal manhole covers with synthetic ones, cheaper, better grip in the wet and pikeys don't steal them. Winner on all counts.

It's whatever's going on at Doxey that's a real pain, I sat there for over 5 mins earlier, which always tends to feel like 50 when you're stuck in traffic and in a hurry

I have known them to mask road markings when using this process, has this not happened here? I saw them masking grids and manhole covers when they were doing the Stone/Marston/Sandon Road side-roads recently, but they simply put up signs to say 'Road Markings Erased' - when 'Covered' would be a more accurate description.
