Stone/Stafford hatred

A few posts under my belt
As a proud Stone person,(although i do like Stafford) there seems to be a bit of intense dislike for you staffordians not on my part i might add! Whenever i ask staffordians about this they have no idea why lol.

What do you make of this or is it a thing of the past?

Typical small town narrow mindedness...

EDIT: Saying that there is mass hatred between Manchester and Liverpool and neither of those places are not small.

I think it's because of the "clickiness" that you tend to get in smaller towns & villages. I only ever once had a pint at Acton Trussell and got dirty looks and even heard some comment along the line of "bloody townies"

no kidding coming from a city centre to a country town there is a huge difference and its a good one too.

Seriously though SugarRay, is this a current thing or from the past? I knew of it's existence some years ago although I thought it had well and truly passed now.

Personally, I love Stone. Quiet yet not too quiet, plus people have always seemed friendly enough. Hey, even your town centre Christmas lighting puts Stafford's to shame!!

Which really goes to show what a total abomination cannock really is lol

The poorest people in zimbabwe are considered snobs by the majority of the people in cannock. From what I understand mini-kievs and 3p beans are actually delicacies there (cannock, that is).

many people from stafford do tend to be snobs, and could be considered posh when compared to the general standard of living across the country..
