erm, sounds like a silly question, but you did choose "Save Picture As..." and not "Save Background As..."? when you do it, it should present you with a save dialogue with the file 070709caketris.gif ready to save..

although ms. dirtybobby has just e-mailed me to say the picture didn't display properly on her machine, even though it looks fine on mine, so it might be something to do with the way that gif is encoded..

well this is even more confusing because yes, that solves the problem, but how the jiggery do i do that! (for future reference)
if you want to link directly to a specific post, just right click on the time/date stamp at the top left of the post (in the green bar, just above the poster's username) and choose "Copy link location...".. well, that's what you choose in Firefox anyway - it might be something slightly different in IE.. anyway, copy that link, and paste that - that is the direct link to the post..

i think i know what the original problem was with e-mailing the pic.. the recipient was opening the attachment in MS Paint, or a similar editor that doesn't support animated bitmaps.. hence, they were only seeing the first frame!

Correctomundo! What are the chances of someone creating a Forum Tetris game where the blocks are pies, oatcakes, pints etc? I'd have no idea where to start with making flash games and the like, but wasn't it designermike who made that speed camera game? I've had a look around and can't find it...

Hang on one blummin minute....Caketris has disappeared from my post! Just checked b3ta and it's gone from there too!!

lol probably because thousands of people linked to it directly, so thraped the poor guy's bandwidth! it wasn't hosted on b3ta - it originated there, but some poor mug put it on his personal webspace!

fortunately, i saved it, so i'll upload it to imageshack and get Admin to edit the posts

Everyone should use it - it should be law. I was idly flicking through one day when someone popped in to the office for a chat (page was just loading). Sat chatting to bloke for ages, after he left I turned round only to find out I had been sitting there with a picture of a large man's appendage displayed prominently on the screen. Not a good day. This was my previous employ thankfully.

I like www.engrish.com
