hmmmm - what do we use to resize giffs? i tried with photoshop once and it killed the animation. coobeasties gonna kill my ass when he see that our ballerina here is twice the recommended kilobytes!

well, it used to be imageready, but adobe seems to have done away with that :roll:

try http://www.gifworks.com.. no idea if it's any good; just the first thing i found on :google:

Hosting might be a bit flaky for an hour. I'm resizing files.
I've managed to free up 28 meg already, you naughty people.

Edit: Now it tells you off for uploading files that are too big. It still accepts them, but warns you.
And it tells me, so I can do something about it.

Well, one person had 4 files over 700k, which when dropped from >2000px wide to 500px and then optimised dropped to 30k each.
And all the 200k-300k files came down to about 25k each.
...and someone had managed to upload a 5mb file at over 5000px wide. its a lot smaller now.
